Web Content Author Specialist
Position Description: The Web Content Specialist (WCS) is responsible for creating and/or acquiring content for websites, email, e-newsletters and other online communications media such as podcasts.
Online content can take many forms, including plain text, links, database content, still images (illustrations, photographs, diagrams), animation, audio, video, interactive devices (forms, forums, chat rooms, polls, questionnaires, etc.). The main responsibility of the WCS will be for the creation or acquisition of verbal content (primarily textual but also audio), although a close relationship with other media specialists, such as graphic designers, will almost certainly be required.
Required Technical Expertise:
- Ability to program forms and implements scripts.
- HTML, XML, CSS, Photoshop, FrontPage, Illustrator, and Flash Action Script.
- Proven experience in corporate and organizational electronic content creation.
- Familiarity with electronic distribution media and preparing content for each media type.
- Ability to produce Web pages that are aesthetically pleasing within the limitations of the delivery medium.
- Familiarity with common Web languages and extensions as required, e.g. tables, frames, server-push/client-pull, server-side includes, etc., as well as awareness of browser compatibility issues.
- Familiarity with both Internet and Intranet connectivity.
- Working knowledge of graphics applications allowing full manipulation of files.
Position Requirements:
- Minimum experience of 8 years in areas related to Web and electronic media publishing.
- BS or BA degree in computer science, computer engineering or equivalent degree.
- Ability to interact positively and effectively with employees at all levels within the organization, as well as with customers, prospects, and vendors
- Good working knowledge with MS office and web editors.
- Good working skills with word processing.
- Excellent oral and writing skills in Arabic and English.

Webmaster (Portal Administrator)
Position Description: The Webmaster oversees technical management of the organization websites, including integration of approved content, file management and site maintenance, database management and coordination of the retrieval of pertinent information from the site to end-users, and archiving and record management. The Webmaster will be managing technical support for problems related to the Web site, as well as performing total quality management of the site, including aesthetic consistency, evaluation of links and usability.
Required Technical Expertise:
- HTMI, XML, CSS, Photoshop, FrontPage, Illustrator, and Flash Action Script.
- ASP.NET Programming, Visual Studio, C#. Net and Ajax preferred
- Database design and MS SQL Server.
- Experience in Dream weaver, PHP, Linux and Oracle is preferred.
- Ability to work within a variety of Web-based hardware environments, and to manage the Web site from a client as well as a server perspective.
- Ability to produce Web pages that are aesthetically pleasing within the limitations of the delivery medium
- Knowledge in Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and web services technology.
- Experience with server platforms and Web server software, networking, and security architecture and implementation similar to CAIT KGO environment.
- Working Knowledge with standard Internet protocols and other Internet issues such as name servers, hypertext transfer, file transfer, e-mail, Usenet, etc.
- Working Knowledge with common Web languages and extensions as required, e.g. tables, frames, server-push/client-pull, server-side includes, etc., as well as awareness of browser compatibility issues
- Working Knowledge with both Internet and Intranet connectivity protocols and software
- Working knowledge of graphics applications allowing full manipulation of files
- Experience with database design and implementation utilizing databases
- Familiarity with Internet connectivity hardware (modems, data service units/channel service units, routers, terminal servers)
- Experience with Web Server-to-email interfaces
- Should be familiar with Common Gateway Interface and Java language programming, as well as animated GIF creation
- Ability to program forms and implement scripts

Position Description: The Web Analyst assesses and monitors the content of the organization’s Web sites with the ability to compare with similar websites. Increase usage and improve utilization. The Web Analyst will be recommending changes to the organization’s Web sites in coordination with the Webmaster and will be working to improve the visibility of the organization’s Web sites through technical means like improved search engines results (like site visits and content statistics). The Web Analyst should have the knowledge and capability to perform total quality management of the site, including aesthetic consistency, evaluation of links and usability (Performance and Security).

Position Description: The Web Site Designer plans and implements the content of the organization websites, including the creation of unique content and the integration of approved content from other sources within the enterprise. The Web Site Designer may have a varying degree of responsibility, in coordination with the Webmaster, for file management and site maintenance, database management and coordination of the retrieval of pertinent information from the site to end-users, and archiving and record management. The Web Site Designer reports to the Webmaster and should be capable to perform total quality management of the site, including aesthetic consistency, evaluation of links and usability..
