Position Description: The Network Administrator Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the WAN/LAN networks. The Network Administrator Specialist provides terminal and network equipment installation and relocation as required. The Network Administrator Specialist maintains and updates network documentation and insures that network operational procedures are executed properly and in a timely manner. The Network Administrator Specialist should insure that the network is reliable at all times and should troubleshoot complex problems immediately to avoid costly down time and delays. Network Administrator Specialist will conduct his work on network sites or the network operation center.

Required Technical Expertise:

  • Working knowledge in Network protocols and mechanism like MPLS, VPN, OSPF, SNMP and others.
  • Working knowledge with WAN/LANs architecture and OSI model.
  • Working knowledge in CISCO Routers and Switches network infrastructure with level 2 & level 3 implementations (preference for expertise related to KIN network infrastructure).
  • Working knowledge with Internet protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP, SMTP, DNS, FTP, BGP and others.
  • Working Experience with CISCO Works and HP Openview.
  • Working experience with Firewalls operation, Intruder Prevention Systems and NAT protocol.
  • CISCO Certification (CCNA, CCNP)
Position Requirements:
  • Minimum experience of 10 years in areas related to network operation, management, protocols, architecture and topologies.
  • BS degree in computer science, computer engineering or equivalent degree.
  • Thorough understanding of network procedures and operations.
  • Demonstrated skills in human relations and communications with non-technical end-users.
  • Handle simple hand tools and telecommunication troubleshooting equipment (e.g., break-out boxes, wire wrap tools, data scopes).
  • Excellent oral and writing skills.
  • Arabic Proficiency is an asset.

Years Experience Required: 10 yrs+

Travel Required: 80-100\%
