Position Description: The Network Analyst is responsible for all aspects of network communications at the enterprise level including terminals, local area networks, wide area networks, wireless networks, communications with remote enterprise installations, problem solving, vendor interfacing and network security. The Network Analyst must be familiar with LAN/WAN topology and software. The Network Analyst is responsible to operate the enterprise network in a reliable, flexible, and cost effective manner that support enterprise growth and development of governmental activities. Required Technical Expertise: Working knowledge in Network protocols and mechanism like MPLS, VPN, OSPF, SNMP and others. Working knowledge with WAN/LANs architecture and OSI model. Working knowledge in CISCO Routers and Switches network infrastructure with level 2 & level 3 implementations (preference for expertise related to KIN network infrastructure). Working knowledge with Internet protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP, SMTP, DNS, FTP, BGP and others. Working Experience with CISCO Works and HP Openview. Working experience with Firewalls operation, Intruder Prevention Systems and NAT protocol. CISCO Certification (CCNA, CCNP). Position Requirements: Minimum experience of 15 years in areas related to network operation, management, protocols, architecture and topologies with at least 3 years as a network analyst. BS degree in computer science, computer engineering or equivalent degree. Proven experience with wide and local area networks including experience with common-carrier data networks. Thorough understanding of network procedures and operations. Demonstrated skills in human relations and communications with non-technical end-users Ability to communicate effectively and to deal with equipment vendors. Knowledge at the expert level of X-25, SNA, Internet networks, connections, wiring and cabling, and network management..
